1. On the forum we have 2 brand new skins available for even more fun, Deep Chill returns with an extra blast of cold, the skin has been remade with Christmas art from the Talented Lord Kiyo. Our second skin Royal Purple is available featuring art work from the Sonic comics a special thanks to Xenowolf for help on this skin.

2. If your not in the festive mood yet well this may do the trick, the main site it's self for the very first time has been completely decorated for Christmas.

3. The member of the moment for the last month of 2009 has been picked so be sure to check it out and congratulate them.

4. In the fan work department we have a new artist joining the SSZ gallery and they are LittleBunnyLover08 so make sure to check  them out for past cool art.

5. What started out as a small update turned into a complete overhaul the SSZ Toolbar takes a giant leap from version 3.0 to 4.0 with a complete look redesign as well as new features, the site menu on the toolbar has been shrunk down to go with the simpler design of the site, 2 new features were added as well, the E-mail notified has been updated and built right in now with the toolbar rather than being a extra feature, so now you can link your e-mail account up with the toolbar, also weather is now built into the toolbar, have your hometown weather built right in. Your toolbar should have automatically updated. 6. Back by popular demand the new chat room built right into the toolbar has been removed and the old chat room built into the site is back, the chat button on the toolbar will now bring you to the old chat room on the site as well for instant access.

8. I would like to take a moment and announce this small notice.......... ahem........ IT'S WAY OVER 9000! The Sonic Speed Zone has hit over 150000 unique visitors in a year so a big congrats and lets hope that keeps up.

9. On a less exciting notice I have to put out, the SSZ will no longer carry Sonic soundtracks because there are a ton of Sonic sites with soundtracks, a lot better quality, bulk downloads and a lot more rare soundtracks, so it's almost a waste of time for me to have them on the site BUT the soundtrack page does still exist on the site but with links to other sites where you can download soundtracks. I myself have found a lot of soundtracks I really like, so make sure to check out the soundtrack page to get some links to these awesome sites for music.

10. You all know the Christmas contest is coming well I would like to add a small branch to the contest for a little taste of something different, while you will have the usual contest on the forum there will be another category called The Great SSZ Candy Cane Hunt, the object of this will be to find x amount of candy canes on the site for first second and 3rd place, with special banner and award, more details will be available when the contest begins I just put this up so you know it's coming. It's something to try may or may not be a good idea we will see.

2. A few minor glitches on the soundtrack page and around the site have been fixed .

3. A ton of new cheats and hints have been added for Mario and Sonic Winter Olympic games including unlockables.

4. Slight  changes to home page and functions.

5. A New member of the moment has been decided so make sure to check it out and congratulate them.

That's all for this week next update will be much bigger including 2 new forum skins, a new Christmas one replacing the old one and a surprise skin thanks to Xenowolf's help, also for the first time ever the main website will also be 100%  Christmas themed so this out to be interesting, and who knows maybe a new music video sprite comic and as always anything random. 3. A new screen saver is also available on the site, scare the crap out of friends and family with the Tails Doll screen saver, head on down to the downloads to get this awesome screen saver but be warned it's not for the faint of heart! Yet again thanks to Lord Kiyo for the animation.

4. One new soundtrack is available for download and that is the Sonic Advance OST head to music downloads to grab them all.

Well what started in the last update ends in this update so I would like to announce the opening of the SSZ forum shop! lets take a look at  a few of the key features

Post and make new topics get rings, once you have done so you can visit the store and buy items to add to your account .

There are many items that you can buy to add to your account, or multiply your rings, you can also give rings to other members and trade items. You can also buy items which allow you to steal other  user items but be warned paybacks are a bugger, and they may not even work. Staff can give out rings as they feel and take them away with good reason. There are also quizzes that you can take to gain extra rings if you get enough answers right.

Right now there are just a few basic items but I am sure the staff who is much more creative than me will add much more stuff!

Please note: Staff will no longer do name changes if you would like a username change you will have to buy if from the store I find the amount of user name changes are getting way to ridiculous on the forum, same if you are warned by a staff member you will have to purchase a items with your rings to decrease it. Anyways I am not going to tell you everything about it you have to go to the forum shop and explore it and find out all the secrets inside of it for yourself!

Now for the site updates nothing big here as work was focused on the shop on the forum

1. SHOUT BOX REMOVED! The shout box has been removed on the website I was really tired of it cause it was filled with nothing but spam and swearing so no more shout box. It use to be decent people actually left comments about the site but now it's just a waste of time.

2. After many beatings with a stick I have finally remembered to add Youkiyami's desktop BG so make sure to check it out under downloads.

3. In the place of where the shout box was I have replaced it with Pay Pal Donate button, now that is there for donations only don't panic thinking I am going to like charge to use the site or something stupid cause I am not, it is there merely to help me out that's all.

5. Here is our Christmas banner yes were working really ahead ROFL So a huge special thanks goes to the talented Lord Kiyo for making the banner, and yes a Christmas skin will go with it just as for Halloween that I did.

#1 The SSZ Toolbar has been updated by the toolbar company not me to allow you to add stuff to the toolbar as you please, you may need to download the new one depending on your browser.

#2 A new affiliate has been added called Mario Vs Sonic  so make sure you check out the way past cool site.

#3 Two new fan music videos have been added, both tribute to Tails and Cosmo so make sure to check them out in the fan video section.

#4 A new artist has joined the SSZ Art gallery called Rayisshockedpplz so check out their awesome art gallery.

#5 A few glitches has been fixed on the site that are caused when users have higher resolutions on their computer.

#6 From me this week nothing special really, got 6 brand new shiny wallpapers for your download enjoyment.

Next update could be anything really, new video, new screensavers, new sprite comic, new fan fics, I have not yet decided but for now that's all,  Lightning out!

#1 Thanks to a tip from one of our users I was told that none of the flash games were working......well we cant have that now can we, so all flash games have been fixed and now work with a few changes, we no longer host the games you will simply be redirect to a different site to play the game.

#2 SSZ Is prod to announce that Sonic Demons Unleashed 2 fan comic made by the talented Lord Kiyo is now finally available on the site you can also get a preview of the next issue Sonic Demons Unleashed 3.

#3 The comic page has been modified rather than view the comic on the site you can choose weather to view the comic from the original authors  site or download a flash gallery version of it.

#4 We have our new member of the moment so check out the member of the moment under Super Sonic in the menu above to find out who it is.

#5 Jobs page has a new job available so make sure to check it out.

#6 A New music video has been added called Tails - Second Chance so head on down to the Sonic video section of the site to see it.

#7 What started as a small update turned into a massive change the SSZ toolbar rolls on down from version 2.2 to it's newest version 3.0 with large cleaner icons and smoother interface tons of new gadgets from youtube, calculators, converters, and so much more, as well as games are now available to, from checkers to chess, to space invaders and tons more. If you already have the toolbar installed you should not need to update it, it should update it's self, if not you can download the toolbar by clicking this image below. It's FREE so do it!

#8 A new affiliate is now available called Freedom HQ so make sure to check them out.

#9 The site database has been cleaned up and a few other glitches fixed.

#10 Thanks to one of our users for sending tons of new user bars so visit the signature page to see them.
